The architect’s vision is to shape the existing building to accommodate the new intervention. The lighting is therefore integrated into the proposed architecture.

The main architectural aspect is linearity. This is treated vertically to frame the night perception and horizontally to reveal the paths. There is also a hierarchy between the two entrances. The main entrance is more assertive than the service entrance.

The lighting is integrated into the architecture. The light becomes a revealing element, without blurring the architectural arrangement of the materials. A balance of light is proposed to suggest depth between the three vertical planes. The first plane is the vegetation, the second is the wood siding and the last is the interior space.

The night perception offers a subtle reading of the interior activity. It allows a discovery of the new architecture. The insertion of light provides comfort and questioning: where does the light come from?
