Édifice Marie VictorinJardin Botaniquede Montréal

The administrative pavilion of the Botanical Garden, a heritage building built between 1932 and 1938, is one of the major figures of the art deco movement in Quebec. Fortunately, it has retained most of its original exterior architectural features and decorative elements illustrating Quebec’s fauna and flora.
A true symbol of the Botanical Garden, which is one of the three most important in the world, the main pavilion has retained its original function by continuing to house the administration of the Botanical Garden as well as a scientific research and teaching center, the Institut de recherche en biologie végétale of the Université de Montréal.
