CONCEPT
Everything came from a crush. Walking down the rue Saint-Denis, commercial artery, an alley emerges. The atmosphere is calm, even studious, like that of the Grande Bibliothèque. It is opposite St. Denis Street. How to link these two contrasted environments?
The alley is a link between two environments of different density and associations. The intention is to connect these two spaces by a course, wrapped in a kind of vortex. Indeed, this spatial element, day and night, allows to create at a visual level a space time passage. A wire is integrated in the architectural and urban space.
LIGHT EXPERIENCE
During the day, the installation appears thanks to the reflection of natural light. At night, light emanates from the structure like a luminous cable, becoming a signal element. The light travels along the route with the users. In the less busy moments, this trace reproduces itself, like a luminous memory.
Where are the beginning and the end? Where are we in this space?
Filume allows us to lose the notion of time, by its luminous action in relation to our course. The light is modified by the presence of the user. The discovery is modulated by the scripting of the light, it accelerates and decelerates, our space-time is in constant evolution.
