Fireflies

CONCEPT
During a family walk, we went to visit the Parc aux oiseaux. It is a little known happy place on the island of Montreal. This park is open 364 days a year with an extended schedule. Curious, I went back in the evening to see the night atmosphere, hence the idea of this installation.
The fireflies are discreetly scattered in the vegetation. Their support allows them to be rocked by the wind, just like the vegetation. The elaboration of the installation follows parameters of flexibility and efficiency. The implantation is random, like the course of the fireflies.
LIGHT EXPERIENCE
The marriage of nature and light forms the appearance of fireflies, like a magical bloom of light. The color and/or the color temperature of the light participate in the emerging ambiances. The scenarization of the lights proposes resting as well as active ambiances, while respecting the cycles of the birds.
The change of light, the appearance and disappearance, the rhythm, the sequences, the mix of colors, the temporality and the scenarization compose the experiences. The luminous ambiance is in constant evolution, as are the fireflies in their intensity and appearance.
