UnderworldCabaret
The Underworld Cabaret is an underground space located on the top floor of a building on a small street with very little traffic. After climbing the stairs, you will discover an intimate and surprising space.
The light installation becomes the reflection of the underground atmosphere as well as a signal sent to transmit its presence and inner activity. The light is filtered by an assembly of perforated plates, which reflect the light on their immediate environment. The illumination evolves during the evening in its intensity and in its color variation.
‘ You are immersed in the underground atmosphere of the cabaret, as much by day by the slightly brutal metallic craftsmanship of the marquee, as by night with the light which tries to escape from its semi-filtering envelope ‘
Ludovic Lefévère, lighting designer
The reflection on the plates, which filters the projected light, suggests a three-dimensional effect. This effect changes in depth depending on the angle of view. The rebellious identity of the venue is palpable as much during the day, by its slightly rough metallic construction, as at night, by the perception of this light trying to escape from the semi-filtering metallic envelope.
